Work you'll do

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of Deloitte Application Studios which is an integral part of the Information Technology Services group. We focus on development and maintenance of technology solutions to enable delivery of Function and Marketplace Services and Management Information Systems.

We develop and maintain solutions built on varied technologies. DAS has various groups which provide the best of the breed solutions to the clients by following a streamlined system development methodology. These groups include Usability, Application Architecture, Development and Quality Assurance and Performance.

In this Application Developer role, you will be part of the Development group and will be responsible for delivering technical solutions. In this role, you will:

  • Develop, support and maintain applications and technology solutions.
  • Ensure development efforts meet or exceed client expectations, meeting requirements of scope, functionality, and time while adhering to defined and agreed upon standards.
  • Become familiar with all development tools, testing tools, methodologies and processes.
  • Become familiar with the project management methodology and processes.
  • Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members.
  • Demonstrate a strong working understanding of the industry best standards in software development and version controlling.
  • Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
  • Assist the Technical Lead with project team duties as required.
  • Work on agile projects, participate in daily SCRUM calls and provide task updates.
  • Develop support and other materials, as required.
  • Develop and maintain internal project documentation.

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS)

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools which empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years experience in software development using 3 or more of the following technologies:
    • .Net Platform,
    • ASP
    • .NET MVC,
    • C#,
    • OOPS Concepts,
    • WCF,
    • REST API Ajax,
    • HTML,
    • HTML 5,
    • CSS,
    • Jquery
    • JavaScript
    • SQL,
    • ORM (N-Hibernate or Entity Framework)
    • Automated Unit Testing,
    • Applying Design Patterns, Performance Tuning (C# and SQL), Agile
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
  • Previous experience working with:
  • Azure
  • JavaScript
  • Experience with Domain Driven Development approach
  • Previous experience managing the delivery of mid to large web/enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with Federal procurement, contracting, proposal, and government cost accounting requirements
  • Work experience with 3rd party products designed for Federal Contractors, such as Deltek GovWin, Deltek CostPoint.
  • Working knowledge of full life-cycle implementation and production support.
  • Expert level understanding of Data Conversion requirements.
  • Understanding knowledge of handling all requirements relating to period end and year-end activities in contract management and billing.
  • Previous experience working with business application owners and development teams to document and clarify business and user requirements and manage the scope of defined features and functions during the project lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing:
  • Quality guidelines,
  • Standards and procedures,
  • Experience working with ITIL standards for production support, working directly with clients and providing consultation.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams and coordinating across teams in a matrix organization environment.
