CMG Data & Insights Lead

Client & Market Growth (CMG) is seeking an Insights Leader with a passion for transforming data into meaningful business insights and opportunities for our leadership and staff. The CMG Insights Lead will join a talented, experienced and functionally diverse team that delivers unique experiences designed to maximize moments with our clients. This person will part of a small dedicated team, an expanded matrixed team and Deloitte ITS to prioritize, deliver and evolve a growing and varied portfolio of solutions. The CMG Insights Lead will be responsible for shaping and defining the cross-CMG data and insight strategy, managing technology projects that enable our leaders to deliver exceptional experiences that spans across an array of channels focused on the overall Deloitte client experience. This person should be detail-oriented generating innovative ideas for how to integrate data, technology, and analytics to help the CMG channels make smarter, more informed decisions.

Work you'll do:
•\tLead and support technology focused projects to support technology and digitally enabled business capabilities to attain strategic objectives that support Client & Market Growth channels, our clients and other key stakeholders
•\tCreating product and project roadmaps, gathering user requirements and feedback, testing and prioritizing fixes and modifications
•\tUnderstand existing technology landscape, how best to utilize existing tools and resources, and make recommendations on how to improve our data and insights capabilities across the landscape
•\tCollect and synthesize data visualization requirements from appropriate stakeholders while challenging stakeholders to be thoughtful on the action an insight can inspire
•\tPartner with technical and infrastructure teams in delivery of solutions to maximize investment across the CMG technology portfolio
•\tWork closely with the CMG and CA Technology Leaders to define and execute forward-looking plans to develop relevant new technology tools and capabilities
•\tBuild strong relationships across the CMG channels, ITS, and CMG Tech COE
•\tResearch and bring forward new and emerging analytical tools (BI/AI/NLP/etc.)


  • Minimum of 6 years direct experience delivering data and technology enabled projects

  • Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and proactively, and operating effectively in ambiguity

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to distill large amounts of data into simple language and action plans

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word)

  • Well-developed analytical skills

    • Ability to synthesize group discussions into concise / concrete bullet points and help steer abstract dialogue into actionable themes and business requirements

    • Ability to analyze processes, problems and opportunities and develop recommendations or solutions

    • Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements and user stories

  • Strong based project and program management skills including the ability to assess and manage programmatic risk, exercising judgement what and when to escalate issues to leadership

  • Experience delivery projects using Agile software development methodologies and techniques

  • Bachelors' degree in technology related field

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (Monday – Thursday/Friday)


  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree

  • PMP certification and/or Agile certification

  • Prior client services experience (in any function)

  • Prior experience using/implementing
