External Communications/PR\nManager - Deloitte's Green Dot Agency
The\nPublic Relations manager will help deliver\ninnovative external communications strategies that build and protect the firm's\nbrand and reputation, help position the firm as a leader in the marketplace,\nensure consistent messaging, and position Deloitte executives as luminaries\nwhose commentary enhances the Deloitte brand. \n\n\n\n\n
The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and\nproactive practitioner who has an execution-oriented mindset and can work at\nboth strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value communications results. In this role, there will also be an opportunity to work across\nseveral areas including M&A, executive visibility, sponsorships, thought\nleadership and exploring new and innovative ways to measure and draw insights\nfrom PR results.\n\n\n\n
What you will do:
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and drive external\ncommunications plans that strategically position Deloitte in the marketplace.
Drive external eminence for Deloitte by proactively pitching stories positioning\nDeloitte leaders as experts on specific topics.
Become accepted as a trusted advisor and provide strategic\ncommunications counsel to senior leadership.
Serve as a key media contact and actively work to enhance and cultivate\nrelationships with the media, particularly within top tier business press and\nleading trade publications, and facilitate media interviews with leadership.
Prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking\nengagements by creating detailed briefing books - including key messages and\ntalking points - and providing refresher media training as appropriate, facilitating\nand coordinating more in-depth media training for spokespeople when required.
Help manage external PR agency resources.
Employ strong project\nmanagement skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently\ndelivering high quality results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder\ngroups (technical subject matter experts to business owners), with ability to\npresent complex information in easily understandable format and tailored to\naudiences.

Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team,\nexperience in large corporate setting and/or professional services a plus.

Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating and motivating\ncross-functional groups or activities.
Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated\nability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management and adapt\nto business needs.

Proven success in developing and executing external communications\nstrategy and communications plans for a large business, preferably in\nprofessional services.

Communications professional with a minimum of 10+ years\nrelevant experience
A bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications,\nEnglish, Public Relations or Journalism
Proven success in developing and executing external\ncommunications strategy and communications plans for a large business,\npreferably in professional services
Cross-industry knowledge, experience
Experience\nin assessing/measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies
Ability to\nsuccessfully engage and lead team members, providing effective guidance,\ncoaching and capability development, maintaining close understanding of all\nteam activities, ensuring high quality for all activities/deliverables, and\nimplementing course corrections when needed
High-level proficiency with\nMicrosoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of\nMicrosoft Office and ancillary programs.
Experience in Professional Services is\na plus.
