Work you'll do:

Global Innovation, under the Chief Innovation Officer and in collaboration with the Global CEO and the Chief Strategy Officer identifies and then executes the global network's innovation priorities. FY20 priorities include:



  • Strategic Growth Offerings

    : Identify and shape a small number of offerings for the firm to enable incremental growth and enhance positioning including: Cognitive/AI, Future of Trust, DataX, Cloud, Delphi, Future of work and Omnia



  • Commercialize:

    Accelerate the commercialization and scaling of existing innovative assets, generating $250M of in-year global revenue.

The Global Innovation portfolio is focused on driving six key areas in FY20 through its Strategic Growth Offerings & Marketplace Team, including:

This role is central to our Intelligence and Analysis function and reports to the Intelligence and Analysis Senior Manager, with frequent interactions with the Managing Director of Intelligence and Analysis, the Chief Strategy Officer, and the Chief Innovation Officer, and other senior leaders across Deloitte Global.



Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the development of thoughtful, succinct, insightful analysis about the implications of technology trends and the latest news

  • Author and package regularly, and on time, polished executive-level articles briefing Deloitte global leadership groups on key topics

  • Conduct primary and secondary research, including in-depth discussions with leading experts, to support the analysis and recommendations for briefs

  • Collect data and perform issues-based and quantitative analyses as needed, to develop conclusions grounded in real data and coherent reasoning

  • Lead strategic discussions on the conclusions and participate in relevant forums, on an as-needed basis

  • Develop effective working relationships with senior stakeholders (internally / externally)

  • Facilitate the sharing of ideas across the global network via existing and emerging technologies and communities

  • Lead and/or support strategic projects, including the further development of Intelligence & Analysis capabilities

  • Develop content for presentations and reports, as well as supporting analytics, for global and innovation leaders, as required





    People Management

  • Work with key strategy stakeholder groups (e.g. member firms, business innovation leaders and teams) to develop cross-functional relationships

  • Collaborate with product owners and end users in the business

  • Work with peers and counterparts in other parts of the Deloitte network





    Knowledge Sharing / Documentation

  • Provide ongoing support to the team's Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Director, and Chief Innovation Officer

  • Work with senior leaders across businesses, geographies, and industries

  • Contribute to the success of the team by ensuring work quality of the highest level

Education (degree):

· Outstanding academic background

· MBA from a top tier program (optional)



Years of Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following:

· Strategy development and operations consulting in a top-tier consulting firm

· Global technology deployment of an innovative solution

· Research and analysis function for a global organization (technology-enabled company a plus)



Key Skills

· Strong ability to write clearly, knowledgably and insightfully about technology trends and their implications, with preference towards those with demonstrated capability and fit

· Excellent strategic thinking and knowledge of strategy development, competitive strategy, and scenario planning

· Outstanding core consulting skills – i.e. analytical, primary and secondary research, presentation, and modeling (superior PowerPoint and Excel), including logical structuring and storytelling

· Ability to synthesize large sets of data and integrate into meaningful reports and recommendations

· Technical aptitude and familiarity (comfort with understanding and quickly deciphering enterprise tech, how it is marketed/sold, and how it is used to solve important business problems)

· Strong organizational and communications skills

· Comfort working autonomously in a virtual environment, including self-discipline and time management skills

· Must be resident in Northeast US (NY a plus), UK, or Canada
