Mergers & Acquisition Finance – Financial Diligence and Integration Analyst
The role supports the US Firm\nacross a range of projects related to the firm's strategy and financial\nperformance. The Analyst will work closely with the Finance & Administration\norganization and other firm Businesses and Enabling Areas throughout the lifecycle\nof an M&A transaction. Work You'll Do
The M&A Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the\nM&A Senior Consultants, Managers and Senior Managers in all areas of an\nacquisition lifecycle to drive analysis and strategic decisions, gain consensus\namong stakeholders and prepare clear, concise and compelling presentations for\nleadership. The acquisition lifecycle includes initial financial due diligence,\nbusiness case modeling and review, understanding the target's accounting\nprocesses, integration planning and execution and post-acquisition support and\nreview. The Analyst will also support\nthe team in financial analysis, excel modeling, report creation and standardization,\nidentifying impacts of decisions and activities that affect the broader support\norganization and other ad-hoc requests
Support\nM&A Finance Seniors and Managers in diligence by pulling data provided by\ntargets, cleansing and consolidating data into usable formats and analyzing\ndata
Develop\nfinancial models to analyze target financial results, financial plans,\nforecasts, investments, ROI calculations and review business case data; support\nthe gathering and input of data into models to prepare internal reports and\npresentations for Senior leadership
Engage and\ncollaborate with Corporate Development and Business Sponsors; plan and execute\nworkshops with targets to facilitate diligence and integration
Review detailed\nbusiness case to challenge assumptions and targets and perform a comparison\nagainst Deloitte results to assess impact from a financial and operational\nstandpoint. Prepare presentations with\nkey findings and recommendations for leadership
Support integration\nplanning, including gaining a deep understanding of the targeted business and\naccounting processes to understand the integration risks and challenges when\ndeveloping plans across multiple projects
Support International Ventures with Deloitte Global firms in\ndiligence, integration and post-deal support including investment tracking,\naccounting, financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, planning and other\nFinance matters
Prepare\nstandardized acquisition reporting on a periodic basis and other various\ndeliverables
Manage\nproject work plans to migrate target into Deloitte
The\nMergers & Acquisition Finance team provides specialized support of US Firm\nmergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and Member Firm\ncombinations. The team brings a mix of accounting, finance, Firm knowledge,\nproject management and consultative skills sets to each deal in an effort to\nanalyze, plan, execute and manage the finance aspects of the acquisition. We are a tightly-knit high-performing team,\npride ourselves on exceptional service and the ability to build long-term, mutually\nbeneficial, trusted partnerships across the firm. We strive to deliver out of\nthe box thinking and creative solutions as each deal is unique and brings new\nchallenges to solve. Although the team is disbursed nationally, we are well\nconnected in a virtual setting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in progress in these areas of study:\nbusiness, economics, math, analytics, finance, or a related field
Strong academic track record (3.5 GPA or higher)
Strong written and\nverbal communication skills are required. The applicant must possess strong\ninterpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of the\norganization regarding sensitive information.
Ability to work with\nvirtual teams and across geographic and cultural boundaries is required.
Advanced expertise in\nMicrosoft Excel is required. Strong PowerPoint capabilities to create\ncompelling presentations preferred.
Excellent process\nmanagement skills are required. The applicant must be organized and able to handle\nhigh volumes of transactional activity, tight deadlines, and ever-changing\npriorities. The applicant must possess the ability to prioritize competing\ntasks and handle unique situations and be comfortable working on a variety of\nprojects and deliverables simultaneously.
Some travel (about 15\n- 25%) may be required given the hands-on nature of the role. A US-based office location is required to\nenable this analysis and travel flexibility.
