Work you will do
The Oracle DBA will be part of a team responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle Database systems, ensuring high availability and consistent performance of our mission-critical applications in a service provider model. This position requires solid technical, interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this is an operational support role, so periodic flexible schedule (ie evenings, weekends, etc) is required.
Ensures all databases are efficiently tuned and optimized in order to enhance database performance.
Provides daily administration and performance monitoring of database related systems.
Maximize database availability and performance to meet or exceed defined SLA's.
Create new database environments (DEV/QA/UAT/Production/Standby) to support development and product progression.
Identify and recommend solutions to performance issues on Oracle DBs.
Responsible for the installation, upgrade and patching of database systems.
Provide knowledge and recommendations on SQL tuning.
Ensures reliable database backups via recovery manager (RMAN). Checks the integrity of the backups by carrying out regular restores.
Assist as needed in investigating, troubleshooting and resolving database incidents/problems.
Design, tune and support Production and Disaster Recovery hierarchies.
Develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
Has a solid understanding of Unix, Linux and Windows servers.
Automate regular database tasks.
Provides on call support as needed.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Manage and monitor alerts for all DBs using OEM13c.
Supports additional Oracle products such as dataguard and oracle enterprise manager 13c.
Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.

3 years of experience in managing Oracle databases on Solaris/ Linux / Windows platforms.
3 years of experience developing Unix Shell scripts and setting up cronjobs
Database performance expertise
Setup client authentication
Hands on experience with Setup and maintenance of Oracle Data Guard
experience tuning SQL queries.
Root cause analysis of database issues - session and trace data analysis
Import and export of schema or objects.
Analyzing ADDM/AWR/ASH reports.
Experience with Oracle 11g or Higher, installations, upgrades and security patches
Implement database security for test case& execution management
Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL Commands
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Be a team player working with a diverse group of team members
Backup and restore of database

Must be willing to live and work in Lake Mary, FL or Mechanicsburg, PA
