Payroll Processor – Senior Consultant – Tax – Global Employer Services

What you'll do
As a GES Senior, you will:
Process payroll for our clients, at times onsite in their own payroll systems utilizing ADP or equivalent systems/technologies.
General responsibilities include the following:
•\tProcessing our clients new hire, rehire and transfer payroll forms as well as terminations, severance pay, leave of absence pay, bonuses, equity, fringe benefits as well as child support and tax liens in payroll. •\tProcessing of clients payroll/HR changes, including tax withholding, direct deposit, salaries, deduction changes, other client policy provisions •\tResponding/resolving client's payroll and time off related inquiries from employees based on client requirements •\tAnalyze taxability of client's payroll related items, review and coordinate proper set up of payroll codes •\tPrepare and/or review client's payroll filings such as Form 941/940 and other state related forms as well as prepare and/or review Forms W-2 and W-2c •\tPrepare and process client's prior quarter adjustments, prepare reconciliations for payroll runs and benefits deductions •\tOther duties as assigned

•\tMinimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, international business, finance, economics, cross-cultural studies, or other liberal arts majors; ideally, with a related minor degree (for example, an accounting major and human resources minor) •\t3+ years of experience with payroll software such as ADP, Ultimate, Ceridian •\tKnowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel •\tKnowledge of state wage/labor laws including the federal fair labor standards act (FSLA) •\tUnderstanding of annual contribution limits for retirement plans (401k, 403(b), 457) •\tBasic understanding of Payroll Employment Taxes.
•\tExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail •\tStrong communication skills (both oral and written) in order to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and to convey policies and procedures to clients and employees •\tAbility to work independently, make educated and informed decisions and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
One of the following Accreditations is strongly preferred and will be required for future career growth and promotion within the firm
•\tLicensed CPA in state of practice/primary office •\tLicensed attorney •\tEnrolled Agent •\tGlobal Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) •\tCertified Equity Professional (CEP) •\tCertified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) •\tCertified Pension Consultant (CPC) •\tCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) •\tProject Management Professional (PMP)
