Forensic Analytics is a fast-growth practice within Deloitte Risk\nand Financial Advisory that centers around several of the hottest areas of\nbusiness today – analytics, forensic analysis, and litigation support – and the\nspecialized skills that make careers in these areas both fascinating and in\nhigh-demand. Our Analytics team makes extensive use of data, statistical and\nquantitative analysis, rules-based methods, and explanatory and predictive\nmodeling to bring insights to client issues. Our work increasingly employs\nspecialized competencies, such as advanced analytics, visualization, and\ngeospatial techniques.

Work\nyou'll do

  • Provide domain\n experience in review of dental plan policy
  • \n
  • Guide the\n development and review of new dental rules
  • \n
  • Maintain a deep, working\n understanding of ADA dental procedures codes and standard dental claim\n processing policies as defined by our dental client
  • \n
  • Conducting dental\n recovery analytics to identify potential fraud, waste, abuse, or improper\n payment.
  • \n
  • Performing and\n interpreting dental billing patterns to identify potential fraud, waste,\n abuse, or improper payment.
  • \n
  • Query\n and mine large health care related data sets to discover transaction\n patterns, examine financial data and filter for targeted information
  • \n
  • Gather and interpret data from a variety of\n sources (e.g., claims, eligibility, contract /pricing, cost reports) and critically evaluate it,\n reconcile conflicts, disseminate high-level information into details and\n distinguishing user requests from their true needs
  • \n
  • Query\n and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examine\n financial data and filter for targeted information
  • \n
  • Design\n and develop models and solutions that use predictive analytics, text\n analytics and cognitive computing, and big data frameworks, in order to\n find anomalies and hidden patterns
  • \n
  • Provide assistance interpreting needs of customers\n and translating them into the application and operational requirement with\n the help of product management skill
  • \n
  • Assist\n in preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials (reports,\n findings and presentations)
  • \n
  • Review\n deliverables for accuracy and quality
  • \n
  • Provide\n coaching to junior staff
  • \n
  • Contribute\n to new business proposals and proposal development

The team

\n\n

As a member of our Forensic Analytics\npractice in the Senior Consultant role, you will work on projects that will allow you to collaborate with\nclients, and other analysts and investigators. As part of these projects,\nyou'll be provided the opportunity to demonstrate your technical, project\nmanagement and leadership skills in an environment that provides for\noutstanding growth and advancement. Position may necessitate intermittent travel\nand requires flexibility with the client service projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

\n\n
    \n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics,\n Mathematics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems,\n Engineering, Business Analytics disciplines, or related area
  • \n
  • Experience\n with dental data analytics
  • \n
\n\n

· \n3+\nyears of hands-on technical experience mining\nand analyzing transactional electronic data.

\n\n
    \n
  • Proficiency\n in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well\n as Internet research tools
  • \n
  • Professional demeanor and strong\n communication skills, both written and oral
  • \n
  • Demonstrated\n problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising\n mature judgment
  • \n
  • Ability\n to work independently and manage multiple projects and responsibilities in\n a fast-paced environment
  • \n
\n\n

Proven experience\neffectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

\n\n
    \n
  • Experience\n working in Payment Integrity / FWA detection and prevention space is a\n plus
  • \n
\n\n

· \nMust be legally authorized to work\nin the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any\ntime in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

\n\n
    \n
  • Previous\n accounting/audit or analytics experience in a professional services firm
  • \n
\n\n

· \nBachelor's\nDegree in Economics, Finance, Statistics,\nMathematics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a professional affiliation such as CPA, FCPA, CFE, MBA,\nASA, and/or CFA

\n\n
    \n
  • Experience\n reviewing dental claims, charts, and x-rays
  • \n
  • Experience\n reviewing and interpreting dental policy
  • \n
  • Extensive knowledge of dental procedure codes, dental claims\n processing, and provider relations, as well as the ability to understand\n the cascading impact of claims processing policy changes on key\n performance indicators, claim costs, and overall financial health of the\n organization
  • \n
