We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to ensure the quality and execution of meals and kitchen needs. The Kitchen Assistant will create a warm and nourishing environment around food for the individuals that need assistance with understanding the importance of fuel for the body.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dietary and kitchen teams in the maintenance and organization of the kitchen and meals
  • Sustain quality including: planning, stocking, meal prep, receiving orders, placing orders, cleaning up after meals and other tasks that fulfill quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Deliver meals to clients
  • Ensure that proper portion control and dietary needs are being met
  • Clean and maintain property and premises, ensuring all cleanliness standards are met.
  • Support all clients and co-workers, treating them with dignity and respect while working to achieve common goals as a part of a team for the clients.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma /GED
  • One year of food service experience required
  • Experience preparing meals for those with special dietary needs preferred
  • Understanding of eating disorders preferred

Qualifications

  • A leader who is self-motivated enough to work single-handed shifts
  • Outstanding patience and customer service
