Candidate will work on PCB Design and will play a key role in development of PCB Design Team and will drive PCB Design activities.Responsibilities:
Understand Project / Work Scope, deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline
Understanding Requirements from Requirement Specification Document and convert those into design.
Create PCB layout
Create documentation for new electronic components and maintain them in the component library as well as in the EDP systems.
Enter the circuit diagram into the CAD system according the specifications, taking placement and structuring into account.
Creation of a printed circuit board layout with consideration of EMC and manufacturing aspects
Creation of technical lists
Generation of production documents for external suppliers
Maintenance of production documents in EDP systems
Interaction with PCB vendors to get PCB manufactured is desirable
Maintenance of a catalogue with standardized production guidelines for our suppliers
Implement release management
Change PCB layout or / and electronic components
Change of schematic, layout, and other documents
Change of technical lists
Maintenance of production documents in EDP systems
Implement release and change management
Performing delimited design tasks
Design parts, assemblies, assemblies according to specifications, sketches and drafts.
Constructively edit links using applications/modifications of existing individual functions and elements.
Examine shape design, dimensions and tolerances according to drafts or specifications by drawing, take into account technical production requirements, repair options (e.g. installation and removal) and space conditions, standardize parts with comparable functions.
Edit design changes
Procuring and checking necessary design documents, examining feasibility and function, coordinating or proposing design changes.
Further process drafts into drawings suitable for production.
Creation / modification of technical lists
Implement design results in technical lists (e.g. parts lists), taking into account the numbering system and product-specific features.
Periodic Interaction with Engineering Manager through Verbal & Written Communication
Ensuring quality of release of gerbers, BOM and drawings.
Closely coordinate with other departments, if required
Generate Project Metrics as per EIC-Pune and / or Business Unit Guidelines
Report Local Manager for All the activities
Contribute to EIC-Pune Assigned Initiatives
Should be able to work in Engineering Laboratory for Product & System Level Testing following Safety Practices & Guidelines
Engineer – PCB Design, Grade B1/B2 will report functionally to Sr. Project Manager, FLMC Machine Automation leader at Emerson Innovation Center- Pune.
Minimum Bachelor's in Engineering Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation or relevant discipline.
3 – 5 years of experience in PCB Designing, library development, Schematic using Altium for Analog and Digital Design.
Exposure to Valve Domain, Solenoid Valves will be preferred.
Should individually handle PCB Layout from placement to Gerber
Good Knowledge of designing the PCB using Altium tool
Good knowledge of layout for High Speed, Low Noise, High Voltage/ Current, multi layered PCBs.
Aware EMC & safety requirements
PCB Footprint creation and validation
Added advantage if Knowledge of PCB Manufacturing processes, technology and Surface Mount assembly process.
Added advantage if Knowledge of PCB design and practices to follow for compliance standards like UL.
Knowledge of Electronic Components, Component Selection.
Added advantage if Exposed to Nexus (Concrete-Pro) Data Management
Exposure to SAP system
Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point.
Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner.
