  • Responsible for organising, coordinating and directing the supply of all goods and services
  • Responsible for freight invoice processing
  • Assist in the development of supply policies and procedures
  • Assist in establishing purchasing objectives and ensure adherence of these objectives
  • Review and investigate sources of supply from both local and overseas markets and develop alternatives
  • Ensure that goods and services procured are of the quality specified, and that all economies are exercised while achieving schedules to meet delivery requirements
  • Arrange for procurement to be only from vendors which conform to the company?s requirements and maintain relevant quality records
  • Maintain close cooperation with Quality Assurance Manager on all quality-related matters including any nonconformance and ensure that all orders identify accordingly to the quality requirements, specifications, drawings and inspection instructions needed
  • Clerical duties to include general administration, data entry, filing and accurate maintenance of records
  • Ensure all purchase orders received are sent to suppliers same day
  • Assist in the receipt of goods
  • Assist in MRP management
  • Develop and maintain relationship with freight companies used
  • Support inside sales function
  • Complete in any other duties assigned
  • Strong time management and work prioritisation skills
  • High level attention to detail
  • PC literate and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
  • Purchasing and inventory management experience in an MRP manufacturing environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written skills and ability to develop positive relationships
  • Experienced working with and developing supplier relationships to improve service and quality
  • Demonstrated capacity to be self-directed, offering initiative and problem solving skills
  • A friendly, can do attitude and willingness to help out
