We are seeking a key team member in conducting the proper transactions related to incoming as well as outbound goods supporting manufacturing and distribution operations. This is a tremendous opportunity to grow with a global company. Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you will work with others in ensuring accurate and complete receipt of raw materials and components required for production as well as reviewing packing lists, and packaging good based upon established processes and practices. iCenter builds turnkey process control systems for our industrial customers, and also serves as a central distribution point for many of Emerson's key products and technologies. These products are vital for St. Louis manufacturing operations and support regional Emerson project execution offices and the product needs for our customers' sites. The Shipping and Receiving associate is in the unique position to ensure vital material flows from our suppliers and back out to our internal and external customers.
As an iCenter Shipping and Receiving Associate, YOU WILL:
• Contribute positively to the safety culture of the entire organization, and be specifically accountable for following all safety related policies within storeroom and shipping/receiving areas.
• Be responsible for transacting material receipts and shipping demands triggered by MRP and project requests at several stages during a typical work shift.
• Interface with both MRP terminal screens and handheld scanning devices to validate accuracy of items received, packed and consolidated.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the store room and logistics department with other teammates to drive optimal processes
• Participate in various training activities as required to ensure the latest Emerson systems knowledge is leveraged for supporting all material demands for the facility.
• Perform routine department maintenance activities including organizing and straightening of shipping and receiving areas, and participating in industry standard 5S activities to ensure a clean, organized, sustainable and safe work environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• High School diploma
• Basic computer skills including Windows and email communications.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with working with others real-time in remote locations
• Ability to work on your feet for most of a typical 8-hour work shift, and ability to lift up to 49 lbs. on a semi-regular basis
• Familiar with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, stacker lifts, and pallet wrapping equipment
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in either product fulfillment in a commercial, industrial or other similar high mix, medium volume environment
• Previous shipping and receiving experience in fulfilling both manufacturing and distribution goods
• Previous experience with powered lift equipment including fork trucks
• Knowledge of modern pick, pack and shipping technology and operations
