The Respiratory Therapist provides for the safe, efficient delivery of respiratory care and services, as well as educational instruction for patients, caregivers and Hospice staff as it pertains to respiratory treatments, supplies and equipment. This position requires excellent clinical and interpersonal skills along with the ability to organize work priorities and trouble-shoot equipment.

• Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure: Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Continuing education: Biannual CEUs as required by the Florida Board of Licensure
• Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
• Critical care and pediatric experience preferred.
• Proficient in use of multiple modalities, assessment, communication, documentation, and teaching skills.
• Must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must be able to provide proof of automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in their employee file.
