Envision Physician Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our collegial team at Methodist Nacogdoches Freestanding ED, an extension of the emergency department at Methodist Hospital Northeast in Live Oak, Texas.

Enjoy top-tier compensation and practice variety with a hybrid approach balancing FSED and Main ED shift at our physician-led practice supported by our new highly seasoned site director.

Position Profile:

• 8,000 annual volume with 10% pediatric cases
• Dedicated pediatric exam room
• 24 hours of physician coverage with 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
• PALS certification
• 1099 position

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Strong communication skills,
• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Methodist Hospital Northeast has expanded its emergency department with a new location, Methodist ER Nacogdoches. Methodist ER Nacogdoches is open 24/7 to provide emergency medical care for both adults and children. The emergency services team is fully trained and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions. If you need to be transferred to either Methodist Hospital Northeast or Methodist Children's Hospital to receive more specialized care, there are no extra expenses involved.

As an extension of the emergency room at Methodist Hospital Northeast, this site features:

• Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
• Specific on-site diagnostic equipment includes: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
• Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
• 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
• Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER Nacogdoches to any Methodist credentialed physician's office, specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up

As an extension of the emergency room at Methodist Children's Hospital, this site offers a variety of capabilities specifically designed for children:

• Clinicians are specially trained and certified in Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), as well as trained in pediatric care guidelines following our Methodist Children's Hospital standards
• All of the equipment needed to treat pediatric patients
• Designed pediatric exam room to create a welcoming environment for young patients
• Direct access to consult with pediatric specialists at Methodist Children's Hospital, and if necessary, coordinate seamless patient transfers to the hospital with a specially trained pediatric team
