Job Summary
The Senior Tax Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant tax reporting across various tax types and jurisdictions for high-net worth individuals. This position involves preparing and reviewing tax documents, maintaining forecasting and analytical models, and supporting audits and regulatory inquiries. The analyst collaborates with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax filings, conduct research on tax laws, and contribute to process improvements.

Job Duties
• Prepares or reviews a variety of tax related documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Prepares / maintains tax forecasting and other analytical models
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Responds to notices or audits from states, including preparing materials for submission, coordination over the phone, etc.
• Researches, interprets, and understands existing or revised tax codes, laws, or forms.
• Modifies work procedures to reflect changes in tax law or code.
• Coordinates with external advisors and other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liability for accounts, divisions, or business units.
• Prepares and maintains tax forecasting models, develops tax analytical models using tools such as PowerBl, and helps with other similar analytical projects.
• Files monthly/quarterly/annual non-income tax returns as required.
• Conducts and documents reviews of workpapers/returns provided by external advisors.
• Collaborates with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance tax department efficiency.
• Provides support for M&A integration activities, including tax data consolidation and compliance alignment.
• Supports annual and quarterly tax provision process

Experience And Education
• Business, Finance or Accounting degree required. CPA preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a tax-related function doing preparation for high-net worth individuals
• Experience with multiple tax types including corporate tax, partnership tax, state and local tax, sales & use tax highly desirable
• Experience with SharePoint, PowerBi, and other analytical tools preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations
• Experience with tax provision process and tax accounting preferred

Required Skills

• Comfortable with using SharePoint, PowerBi, and other such tools

LOCATION: Garden City, NY

COMPENSATION:  The national average salary for this role is $100 000.00 - $150 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
