The Radiologic Technologist job family is distinguished by the type and level of responsibilities from routine to increasingly more complex and comprehensive Radiologic and associated procedures and processes. Maintains level and types of technical certifications as required by State and other Regulatory agencies. Uses reasonable independent judgment and decision making skills to carry out established procedures, participates in the development and updating of operational policies, and through participation promotes Customer Satisfaction and facility team work.
Successful completion of AMA approved training program in Radiologic Technology. Successful registry of the A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), and adhering to A.R.R.T. Ethics Guidelines, while maintaining registry in good standing. Radiology Tech I – New graduate or a technologist with less than two years of experience in a hospital or clinic environment. One year experience preferred. Radiology Tech II – More than two years of experience in a hospital or clinic environment. CRT certification in Radiology and Fluoroscopy with the State of California Department of Public Health/Radiologic Health Branch. Current BLS certification or must be obtained within three (3) months of date of hire to be retained.
