Responsibility

Responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level Operations.

Able to demonstrate strong sense of ownership.

Ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.

Admin & Ongoing Database Administration services

Assist with Problem management and Change Management

Level 2 Service Assurance Management – Supporting the CAB (Change Advisory Board) on the change risk and business impact as requested by CAB

To verify the configuration and integration of a node, network, and/or system. Your scope of work could include the scenarios of upgrade, update, and rollback activities.

System Administration including backup execution and data management.

Troubleshoot any issues in the network for services affected in the data center and provide technical support and guidance to Design and Engineering teams.

Application migration requiring network layer2 and layer3 updates to the transport switching and routing infrastructure in spine-leaf fabric configurations.

Upgrade software code on the transport network elements (load balancers, routers, and switches) with minimal customer downtime.

Bring up new routers, switches, and load balancers in the Telecommunication network data center according to the defined network standards and best practices.

Configuration development, standardization, and auditing support.

Manage good vendor relationship for effective and on time deliverables.

Update daily logs and design documentation for lab and production environment, and composing clear, concise reports for system documentation.

    1. Technical Competence

Cisco SDN (ACI), Ericsson C-SDN and Nokia Nuage Networks.

Highly proficient and hands on experience in the following inter networking technologies Data Center Networking, IGP (OSPF/ISIS), MPBGP/BGP, Multicast, MPLS, L2VPN (VPLS, EVPN), L3VPN, L2 switching, TCP/IP, IPv6, VXLAN, OpenFlow, OVSDB, OpFlex, REST API, Nokia WBX, Virtualized Services Directory (VSD), Virtualized Service Controller (VSC), Virtual Routing and Switching (VRS).

Hardware hands on and knowledge – Cisco Nexus 5K, 7K, 9Ks, FEX 2K, Cisco 3900 routers, Cisco CRS/Company, Juniper MX960, Cisco ASR 1K/9K routers, Pluribus Switches.

Working knowledge of F5 and A10 load balancers – including knowledge of SSL certificates and its installation on load balancers.

Strong Virtualization skills (VMware vCenter/ESXi, Microsoft HyperV, OpenStack)

Skills as Linux End User and Administrator, also proficient in Linux Networking and traffic flows.

Strong documentation skills in High Level Architecture (Visio, Enterprise Architecture)

  1. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably within Computer Science or equal education

6+ years of experience in IT and Telecom Operations

Cisco certified and Red Hat OpenStack Certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years of virtualization and openstack experience

Experience from working in a Global environment preferred

Very good knowledge in English language (written and verbal skills)
