Ericsson is seeking a motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the Ericsson Smart Factory facility located in Lewisville, TX. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of complex technical work across EHS disciplines, focused on reducing risk, engaging stakeholders, and promoting a positive safety culture.

Our Exciting Opportunity:

  • You will work to safely empower all personnel to act as self-sufficient EHS-problem solvers.
  • Promote compliance to federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and conformance to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

    You will:
  • Strengthen and continuously improve EHS Management System elements pertaining to business unit Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, and management teams, with specific focus on assigned business unit partnerships
  • Analyze incident trends and assess facility and process-related risks to identify continuous improvement projects that reduce the injury, illness and environmental impact events.
  • Define and execute EHS programs and secure adherence to strategic targets
  • Monitor, control, and report EHS performance
  • Create facility and project specific safety programs aligning with corporate EHS programs with Federal, State and local regulations
  • Work closely with site employees and facility leadership to set EHS standards and expectations
  • Build partnership with facility workplace manager to understand and convey risk in order to proactively drive growth toward a best in class safety program
  • Perform periodic documented facility audits recommending corrective actions a follow through to closure of identified corrective actions
  • Promote, support, and proactively review job safety analysis reports and required safety permits and safety plans
  • Prepare and leverage reports and analytics that identify EHS opportunities that align with workplace optimization with minimum coast impacts allowing site leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and conformance to ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
  • Lead and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures in partnership with operations teams.
  • coordinate new employees EHS training, track applicable EHS trainings. conduct other EHS trainings as needed.
  • Perform and promote EHS recognitions of engagement at all levels
  • Participate in work environment Ergonomics improvement and development projects.
  • Coordinate environmental activities for the site.
  • Coordinate the SDS (Right to Know) program via applicable database.
  • Perform frequent combined safety and environmental inspections and procedural audits in work areas and have the skills, knowledge and ability to take immediate corrective action if required.
  • Coordinate and track corrective action items.
  • Ensure EHS compliance of all subcontractors prior to working onsite.
  • Support in facilitating the Safety Leadership Committee.
  • Participate in equipment safety design reviews, facilities design change notification reviews, etc. with responsible parties to provide essential EHS-performance and compliance input.
  • Participate in and contribute to new project planning and hazard analyses.
  • Serve as coordinating member for voluntary Emergency Response Teams.
  • Oversee spills management program
  • Coordinate and manage hazardous waste program.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by Manager

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • 2 – 5 Years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety required
  • Recognized formal EHS qualifications such as certifications or designations (e.g. degree, diploma, recognized trainer certifications, or BCSP designations)
  • Strong preference for candidates with EHS experience in manufacturing, OSHA General Industry, ISO, or similar industrial environments.
  • Experience with managing EHS programs, auditing, interacting and training all levels of personnel.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work, Power Point, Project, etc.).

You might also have:

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience with lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety, OSHA regulations, and incident root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
