Description

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring IT security practices and systems to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organizations systems and health data. Preferred knowledge of information security audit risk management, HIPAA and PCI DSS. Familiarity with NIST and ISO/IEC 27002 standards. Understanding of networking security, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, encryption, secure end user computing. Strong communication and presentation skills preferred, ability to present to a large audience and provide security training as needed. Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience CISSP, CISA or similar Major Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and ensure compliance with security documentation (policies, procedures, standards, guidelines).
  • Assist in the creation, documentation, planning and testing of an enterprise wide disaster recovery program.
  • Monitor security systems and logs and provide reporting and metrics on the performance of existing systems and provide insight for continuous improvement and increased security posture. Conduct periodic audits against existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and report on findings.
  • Assist in risk analysis process on existing and new systems including internal and externally hosted solutions.
  • Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of IT infrastructure security policies, standards, guidelines, and technologies to ensure these controls effectively protect information systems against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
  • Manage security related projects and initiatives and serve as an advisor for security related items on all projects.
  • Participate and/or lead incident response, forensic review, and e-Discovery, including managing security alerts and events generated from security devices.
  • Ensure security systems are operating as expected and effectively protecting the environment. Monitor versions, patches, and upgrades and ensure they are maintained appropriately and work with network operations project management as needed for scheduling updates.
  • Assist with security testing which includes third party penetration testing, social engineering, etc. Create and manage work plans and ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
