Dispatch Supervisor

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

  • Manage, evaluate, train, hire, and discipline staff for the Department
  • Manage the Department to meet contract financial objectives
  • Schedule staff to meet performance objectives and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and incentives
  • Manage the Department to meet contract financial objectives
  • Research and respond to customer complaints and commendations as required under contract maintaining a minimal level of complaints; includes the ability to communicate with customers to resolve or address issues as needed
  • Track and manage employee attendance including benefit time use
  • Represent the department to the RTD, customer, and contractors as needed; participate in the management team as a contributing member
  • Review, analyze operational procedures and manage for process efficiency, productivity and accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned; includes filling in for the Assistant Project Manager as needed
  • Backup for Verification, data entry and month end reporting.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

 Dispatcher Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; college experience preferred
  • Strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent judgment and problem solving skills, particularly in personnel management
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
  • Must be able to manage emergency situations for drivers
  • Ability to successfully learn the dispatch software .
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability and possess excellent time management skills.
  • This position coordinates daily transportation services for Access - a - Ride customers by maintaining telephone and radio communications with customers, carriers, and drivers
