Summary: The Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator will help promote the Five Guys Brand both internally and externally with a focus on written and audio-visual modes of communication. This individual will be responsible for responding to the media by formulating and delivering responses that are professional, effective and respectful in order to protect the Five Guys Brand by ensuring a consistent message that is reflective of the company's values, ethics and integrity. The Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator will monitor press coverage and provide crucial reporting to executives and internal staff. This position will also help support internal communications efforts, writing stories and emails, building communications calendars and managing distribution lists. Additionally, this individual will support external communications by assisting with website and social media content. The Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator will brainstorm new initiatives, pitch ideas and see the programs/projects through to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Five Guys' press inbox. Respond to media inquiries, as well as arrange interviews and photoshoots as needed.
Draft media statements as needed.
Monitoring and Tracking News:
Utilize our tracking tool, TrendKite, as well as other resources to track and monitor press coverage and media sentiment.
Produce reports to help showcase and summarize coverage and sentiment for leadership.
Internal Communications Support:
Assist the Internal Communications Specialist with the development and implementation of corporate communications strategies; create content for multiple communications channels, including weekly company newsletter.
Manage company contact and distribution lists.
Audit company's media library as required.
Develop content for the Five Guys website. Determine any necessary updating efforts and execute accordingly.
Cultivate stories, videos and multimedia content for Five Guys social media channels.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Arts and Design or Marketing preferred; equivalent experience
• Two years' experience in a similar role or role within the restaurant or foodservice industry.
Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary. The successful candidate/employee will be required to use written,
verbal and group communication skills. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions and
correspondences is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business

The position requires pragmatic analyzing skills and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and other appropriate communication and
media software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design platforms.
This position requires supervisory responsibilities
This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also be extensive
lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required.
Travel will be required 10% of time.
• Strong interest in brand integrity and maintaining a consistent tone.
• Experience with social media, web design and multimedia content creation.
• Audio visual experience (pre- and post-production) a plus.
