As a FOX Bicycle Sales Representative II, OEM Sales/Distributor sales you will provide direct support to the Easton and Distributor Account Managers in the ongoing development of existing and prospective FOX (FOX, Marzocchi, Race Face or Easton Cycling) OEM/Distributor customers to ensure that the department can meet its targets and maximize customer satisfaction. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting your designated OEM/Distributor customers with new product details, FOX's product release process, building outstanding relationships, and maximizing total sales and margin.
New Account Support
Filter prospective OEM account inquiries we receive via phone and email.
Validate prospective accounts as OEM Sales, Small OE, or not at all.
Set up new accounts in the system as necessary.
Process paid one-time sample orders – credit card if needed.
New Model Year Spec Release Support
Coordinate custom decal releases as requested by sales reps.
Coordinate annual customer specification sheets as requested by sales reps.
Development Sample Support
Manage urgent and/or short notice sample requirements.
Drive creative solutions to meet customer requirements when standard production supply is not possible.
Submit and track PRF's for sales reps.
Ship early sample forks/shocks/parts to customers as directed by sales reps.
Both from standard inventory and engineering direct samples from Scotts Valley/Taiwan/Vancouver.
Interact with Aftermarket team when use of Aftermarket inventory is needed to take care of a customer's immediate need.
Obtain small parts and build support for urgent out-of-system fork or shock conversions to meet urgent OE customer needs.
Release early part number/configurations for forecast planning and sample support.
Sales Event Coordination
Gather and ship OEM support product and material for key sales events.
Including: Taichung Bike Week, Eurobike, and new model year launch events.
Customer Visit Support
Receive and prep customer test bikes.
Support and collaborate on key account product testing and tuning
Collecting forecast data for sales reps.
Build new forecast templates for sales reps at the beginning of model year.
New Model Year Sample Order Support
Continue sales support of early new model year sample order entry and tracking
Present and sell FOX products and services to assigned and potential OEMs.
Deliver new product presentations.
Establish and maintain FOX sales policies and programs.
Supervise communication between customer and Customer Operations as needed.
Support and expand the OEM/Distributor customer base in line Fox brand value positioning directives.
Monitor OEM brands and Distributors to ensure compliance with FOX policies and alignment with value positioning.
Facilitate OEM testing to ensure final product configurations are optimized to OEM's various bike designs.
Assist with negotiation of new model year pricing.
Identify and resolve and OEM/Distributor customer concerns.
Report on status of OEMs/Distributor customers with FOX sales management.
Other duties as assigned.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Excellent customer service skills including strong verbal and written communication ability.
Demonstrated success in objectively identifying issues and coordinating resources to solve issues.
Ability to self-manage time effectively to achieve defined goals.
Able to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making.
Knowledge of full suspension tuning, set up, bike designs and/or mechanical background a plus.
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience: 3+ years bicycle industry sales support experience. OEM specific a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Indoor office environment and various outdoor environments for test sessions.
Travel may be required for OEM support or tradeshows.
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
