Position Specific Information
This role will focus on LOA Administration, including but not limited to: Creating employee benefit premium invoices for employees on a Leave of Absence (LOA), and providing reports of premium collection activities and account status for corporate accounting.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the different aspects of benefits programs for FMCNA to include the planning and execution of operations for the benefits programs. The incumbent serves as a primary contact for employees, managers, and clients regarding benefit related issues, questions, and decisions regarding eligibility or other related topics
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a subject matter expert and provides functional guidance and direction to employees and departmental managers.
Propose plan improvements to management.
Communicate directly to employees regarding the benefit issues that require a subject matter expert within benefits.
Collaborate in the planning and preparation of written employee communications, plan employee communication meetings and presentations.
Maintains various databases including data entry and report generation.
Adheres to established processes, procedures, and systems to resolve employee inquiries.
Provides superior customer service to all employees by promptly responding to employee inquiries.
May escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
May provide assistance to A1 with more complex support tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- High School Diploma required
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1 – 2 years' related experience.
- SHRM Certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) is desirable, or a plus.
- Experience with HRIS/HRMS preferred.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
