PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Qualifies, interviews, and manages assigned or referred traveling healthcare professionals in the Fresenius Travel Nurse (FTN) Division for short term assignments throughout the U.S. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and evaluates credentials, work history, education etc. of applicants to establish eligibility for position ensuring the appropriate licensure and experience requirements are met.

  • Conducts phone screens and provides detailed information on candidates to Field Leadership.

  • Verifies background information on candidates such as license, OIG/GSA, education, and criminal as assigned.

  • Utilizes understanding of Dialysis clinical environment to support Travelers throughout assignments while driving them to the areas of highest priority to support our patients.

  • Introduces benefits, process, and market conditions to potential travelers.

  • Manages the performance of Travelers to ensure they are meeting their goals while supporting our patients and programs and adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Negotiates pay rates, housing stipends and motivates Travelers to attain certification and licensure in specific states as needed.

  • Maintains contact with Travelers on a regular basis as their primary point of contact and remote clinical leader.

  • Conducts follow-up calls and quality improvement studies with hiring managers, new hires and active Travelers.

  • Evaluates selection and placement techniques from feedback data and identifies and implements improvements as needed.

  • Assists with compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This job operates in an office setting.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This role routinely and frequently uses a desk and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers with repetitive motion. 
  • Little to no travel (< 5%) is expected for this position.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Associates degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing (ADN/BSN) required.
  • Masters degree in a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  

  • A minimum of one year of Dialysis experience needed. 
  • Clinical/Healthcare management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, policy and procedure.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management, negotiation, organizational skills, computer skills, multi-task/project management skills along with strong leadership skills desired.
