Focused on delivering unsurpassed services in support of law enforcement and homeland security, FSA, a rapidly growing joint venture owned by trusted solutions providers SAIC and AECOM, FSA has a vacancy for a Data Analyst. In this role, you will support the overall mission of the Drug Enforcement Administration El Paso Field DIvision. DEA implements major investigative strategies against drug networks and cartels. The contract title is Data Analyst; the duties are those of an Administrative Assistant / Group Assistant. Duties specific to this office:

  • Support an enforcement group by providing administrative support to the Group Supervisor, Special Agents, and Task Force Officers.
  • Answer and route incoming calls, receiving and distributing mail and courier packages
  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, teletypes and subpoenas. Proofread to ensure correct format, punctuation and grammar
  • Gather information and organize investigative package (e.g. obtain proper signatures, create DEA-19)
  • Develop spreadsheets to manage various internal logs
  • Conduct database searches for management and program reporting. Compile data and prepare statistical reports
  • Extract data from various agency databases (e.g. IMPACT, VIMMS, UFMS, FIRM). Data entry of statistical information
  • Receive investigative reports, claims, undercover expenditure requests, suspense petitions
  • Enter maintenance logs and gas receipts for agents' Official Government Vehicles (OGV) into fleet management database
  • Review funding requests
  • Review and submit travel vouchers
  • Input Time and Attendance and maintain T&A files for audit
  • Reconcile inconsistencies with OGV, WebTA and case files
  • Maintain filing system and archive closed case files
  • Order office supplies
In accordance with the contract:
  • Provide organization and management of case files
  • Review data (completeness of information, proper execution)
  • Extract data from data base
  • Obtain additional information from other investigative agencies/data base
  • Establish/maintain physical file
  • Prepare notices/advertisements
  • Receive, suspense petitions, claims, process sharing requests
  • Reconcile inconsistencies
  • Prepare declarations
  • Gather information and organize investigative package
  • Verify case files and case tracking system
  • Maintain internal status information on the disposition of all forfeited assets
  • Assure information is accurate and perform analytical computations necessary to process data
  • Conduct and reconcile inventories
  • Distribute and receive documents
  • Assist lead analyst or official in obtaining/collecting all documents/information to complete case file
  • Provide administrative information and assistance concerning case to other investigative agencies, local law enforcement agencies, US Attorney, and other DOJ processing units, and higher headquarters
  • Extract data from agency data base for management and program reports
  • Perform word processing relevant to case documentation
  • Perform data entry relevant to case
