
Description
The Assistant Sales Planning Manager reports to the Trade Marketing Manager and is a key contributor to sales planning and insights development across all Professional Products channels. The role is also aimed at building our Professional Products data capabilities to increase sales, and profit of the Ghirardelli Professional Products. This role will develop compelling fact-based insights for PPD team. This role will contribute to sales planning activities of the division, including, trade spending and sales plan development and develop programs for driving our current and new items with existing and new customers.
- Sales Plans Development and Rollout: Assist in creating annual sales plans by channels, regions, and customers.
- Manage PPD Scorecard: provide updates and report sales team results monthly
- Sales Analytics and Reporting: Proactively develop, update and provide insights and recommendations and plans out of Sales Reports
- Business Intelligence System and TPM implementation: Being SAP BI and TPM Expert for the PPD team
- Fact Based Sales Presentations: Build fact based selling stories using internal and external data for insights. Deliver regular Datassential LTO analysis. Bringing IRI and Nielsen trends & other insights to assist in development of marketing plans and activations.
- TPM Planning: Lead creation and tracking trade promotion spending plans, while identifying best practices to drive PPD product sales and profit
- Contract Management: Lead contract management and reporting at Ghirardelli system
- GS1 Program: Lead Ghirardelli set up and implementation of GS1 for Professional Products Division
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of independence and resilience
- Collaboration: communicate across PPD and with Assistant Trade Marketing Manager to make sure all department needs addressed on time.
- Special Projects: Provide additional support as needed, such as assisting with special projects.
- Work cross functionally with Legal, IT, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and other departments on projects and committees

Education and Work Experience:
- BA/BS Required
- MBA Degree Preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Foodservice or CPG environment.
- Experience in sales planning and analytics.
Salary Range: $83,383 - $112,567
