Currently, we seek an individual as an IT Support Analyst at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for In-Store computers and POS support activities including user support, hardware depot maintenance, testing and distribution of software. You must have strong computer skills including device configuration, familiarity of hardware installation and support. You must know basic programming including understanding of Batch and VB files required. You must also have strong customer service orientation, problem solving skills, organizational skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as be self-motivated with team oriented goals.
**All Golden Corral IT Support Analysts are required to operate on a 12-week rotating shift schedule to support the needs of our company and franchise restaurants. The Golden Corral Help Desk operates 20 hours per day, 364 days per year. Shift rotation subject to change. A 10% shift differential is paid for evenings and weekends. The rotation schedule is listed below.
Rotation Shift Schedule:
Tuesday through Friday 1st week: 8:00am - 5:30pm 2nd week: 7:00am - 4:30pm
Weekend Day Shift 1:
Thursday: 7:00am - 5:30pm Saturday & Sunday: 6:00am - 5:00pm
Weekend Day Shift 2:
Saturday through Monday: 6:00am - 5:00pm
Weekday Night Shift:
Tuesday through Thursday: 4:30pm - 2:00am Friday: 4:30pm - 3:00am
Weekend Night Shift:
Saturday: 4:00pm - 3:00am Sunday & Monday: 3:00pm - 2:00am
Responsible for In-store Systems including Desktop PCs with extended devices, Computer Base Training systems, Touch Kiosk systems, and Point-of-Sale systems. Responsible for Network troubleshooting and setup including Modem configuration. Responsible for supporting GC proprietary and OEM software on all devices in the restaurant. 85%
Support documentation and problem determination documentation. 5%
Assisting in software/hardware rollout. 5%
Perform other duties as assigned. 5%
Education/ Experience: College degree or equivalent preferred. Minimum of six months (6) of PC and Point of Sale experience and user support. Ability to work under pressure is essential. Required Skills: Advanced TCP/IP network configuration, advanced knowledge of Windows Software Configuration, and basic Scripting knowledge including the ability to create and follow Batch, VB files for troubleshooting.
Other Requirements: Position requires occasional walking and standing with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position is a mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent talking, hearing and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
