Description

Assists with the preparation of instruments, equipment and supplies used by clinical staff in the Emergency Department and Emergency Observation Unit. Frequently rounds to ensure equipment is in operating order and responsible for proper care and handling of instruments and equipment.  Assumes maintenance responsibilities and follows up with the appropriate work area through completion so that patient care functions can easily be managed by the clinical team.           

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Associates Degree or equivalent plus four years of experience in patient care setting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be able to work with others and model key behaviors that support staff in the delivery of quality and efficient services.  Must be able to work with medical equipment repair and able to manage data on computer system.
2. License:           N/A
3. Skills:   Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Proven work history of demonstrating proficient and courteous telephone skills and interactions with all customers. Demonstrates clear, professional written and verbal communications.   Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include word processing, and e-mail at a minimum.
