Providesdirect patient care, documentation, administration of medications, minorlaboratory testing, and communicates withpatients, health care providers, pharmacies and vendors within the scope of practice intended by the Licensed Registered Nurseregulations of the New York State Nurse Practice Act. In addition serves as lead RN in assisting thePractice Manager with additional clinical administration duties including stafftraining and mentoring. Collaborates with residents, physicians, andsocial workers in clinical decision making and follows up on patient careneeds.
- Education: Has fulfilled therequirements to be a Licensed Registered Nurse in NY State; BSN preferred.
- Experience (minimum required): Three to five years'experience in direct nursing care; experience with patients of all agespreferred. Ambulatory care andtelephone triage experience preferred. Computer literacy essential.Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- License/Certification Required: NYS Licensed RN,CPR (AHA)
- Skills (to include equipment, software,etc.):Effective interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively andcourteously with others.
