Responsible to direct a high quality, efficient, evidence-based literature and cost-effective value analysis process for Highland Hospital and healthcare System. This includes establishing and executing streamlined methodologies for service/product selection, utilization, and costs; providing expertise to facilitate supply expense management; actively working with clinical areas to mediate issues with manufacturers and resolve product quality concerns; and continuous monitoring of outcomes to ensure they achieve desired results.
- Education: Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
- Experience (minimum): 3 years related experience in clinical setting, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Management experience preferred. Experience in budgeting, vendor relations, performance/process improvement, project management preferred. Previous experience using healthcare data preferred
- License/Certification Required: preferred RN in NYS
4. Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.): Analytical skills including cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies. Computer skills, including knowledge and use of spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail and the World Wide Web/Internet. Ability to learn new software programs. Basic knowledge of medical-surgical supplies, diagnostic testing, etc. preferred. Knowledge of clinical and operational improvement processes. Previous experience participating on or conducting a product evaluation, value analysis or process improvement committee preferred. Independent and self-motivated. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills. Detailed clinical and operations management experience required
