Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) role is responsible for formulating people strategies that align with business objectives in designated business units. The position works across the HR function to deliver value-added service to business leaders and team members that supports Dine Brands' People Pillar. HRBPs work in partnership with executives to address operational, talent, and team member life-cycle activities including strategic initiatives, performance management, talent growth and development, team member engagement, change management, culture, employee relations and workforce planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary HR Business Partner with oversight of the legal function and international division; may support additional client groups
  • Influence and build relationships with leaders and team members; become a trusted advisor
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders to build a high-performing, valued-based teams
  • Drive people and business metrics to inform and proactively manage people decisions (data driven decisions)
  • Help increase employee engagement through initiatives such as organizational change, focus groups, team building events, and recognition programs
  • Facilitate innovative business and people practices enhancing business outcomes
  • Assist leaders to create talent agendas to build a sustainable pipeline of top talent
  • Partner within HR - talent acquisition, talent development, and total rewards - to roll out new programs and leverage specialties to further address needs of client groups
  • Partner with Legal to conduct investigations into employee relations issues with recommended solutions
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, ethics, and company policies
  • Other responsibilities may include enhancing the immigration program and global mobility
  • Work on special and cross functional projects as needed

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a human resources role in a progressive HR department
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in proactive employee relations work
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of acting as a strategic HR business partner
  • Strong employee relations experience including fact finding, managing conflicts and developing win/win solutions
  • Ability to lead though influence in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative and team environment
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with internal clients on solving business/operational issues
