Your role in helping us shape the future:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Program Manager who can plan and lead all activities related to the successful delivery of major satellite and terrestrial communication network services for the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD). You will be charged with guiding the program team, communicating with the customer and program partners, directing service delivery, and assuring the highest level of customer support. You will also be responsible for building Intelsat's position with the UK MoD by presenting space and ground network solutions to new opportunities and requirements within the program.

In this role, you will own the relationship with the UK MoD customer and other program partners, and you will be accountable for successful execution of all program related activities. You will serve as the liaison between the customer and key internal stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle. You will manage a complex and critical program. You should be ready to take your skills to the next level.

Are you up to the challenge?

• Build the program team, secure necessary resources, and direct service implementation with support from engineering, operations, facilities, and other Intelsat functions.
• Successfully deliver all UK MoD program requirements within cost, schedule, and technical constraints. 
• Provide excellent customer service through transparent and frequent communication, on-time service delivery, continuous improvement, and proactive issue resolution.
• Address systemic issues with customer networks and provide recommendations for solutions based on customer interaction.
• Direct a cross-functional team to ensure service delivery and program success without line management authority.
• Participate in negotiations with customers, partners, contractors, and vendors to achieve program objectives and to ensure continuity of contractual obligations.
• Bolster Intelsat's position with the UK MoD by keeping them informed on Intelsat products and services, uncovering new opportunities and requirements, and offering appropriate solutions.
• Support new business proposal efforts, as needed, by developing project plans, risk identification and mitigation plans, vendor cost quotes, and selected proposal content.

Can you drive these processes?

You will support generation and adherence to program documentation to ensure Intelsat sustains customer service levels. You must provide accurate and timely program financial and status reports to senior management. You will oversee quality management evaluations for equipment and service performance improvements. You must intimately understand Intelsat's products and services applicable to UK MoD customers.

You should definitely have:

• University Degree in a technical or business field. Equivalent knowledge gained through experience may be considered.
• At least 10 years of experience in project or program management.
• UK citizenship and the ability to obtain a UK Government security clearance. Active Security Check clearance preferred.
• Experience leading large, complex programs and projects with cross-functional and matrixed resources.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence and manage without authority, to set direction and approach, to mobilize and motivate teams, and to drive program execution.
• Experience planning projects, solving problems, controlling change, managing risks and resources, and anticipating potential impacts.
• Command of soft skills (communication, interpersonal) to support interfacing with customers and key stakeholders.
• Strong business decision-making, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in managing the delivery of satellite, telecommunications, or other technology services.
• Experience in effective execution of deliverables per terms of agreed contracts.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while adapting and adjusting to address changes in priorities and assignments.
• The ability to travel up to 20% to meet business needs.

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience in satellite communications, spacecraft operations, or launch services.
• Certified Program Management expertise – or equivalent experience.
• Experience with MS Project or similar project management software tools.
