To establish and manage individual FSP customer strategies to maximize organizational growth. Serve as overall FSP customer expert and strategic business partner, responsible for developing and expanding new FSP business opportunities with customers. Provide consultative advice to potential and existing clients. Establish, grow and manage long-term and profitable relationships. Assist in the preparation RFI/RFP responses, proposals and bid defenses.

  • Senior FSP business development liaison, responsible for FSP business development activities for target FSP accounts
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all appropriate IQVIA functional services for FSP business development opportunities
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive FSP business development plan for each target account; monitor actions and results against plans
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key customers and maintain deep knowledge of the customer organization
  • Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities
  • Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards
  • Continuously monitor status of FSP leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained
  • Establish internal brand recognition with key stakeholders, developing and maintaining collaborative cross functional and business relationships
  • Work with business development, operations and functional managers to identify sales team and prepare / lead the FSP sales presentation
  • Educate team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale
  • Utilize CRM to establish reports and dashboards to analyze business development, manage sales activities and track progress
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organization
  • Plan and coordinate all FSP customer sales activities across the BD organization
  • Lead/participate in change management initiatives for the sales organization
  • Provide overall support and serves as a mentor for junior sales staff members
  • Participate in industry networking events to promote company profile and reputation


  • Proven track record at developing mid-level and high-level contacts
  • Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development
  • Strategic business awareness and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree (Master degree preferred) in Scientific or Business Management field and 15 years relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
