Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Tax Accountant (Finance) to be located in Denver, CO. We are looking for a skilled dynamic tax professional to participate in taking the Johns Manville tax function to the next level.

The ideal person will have strong leadership, communication, and tax technical skills. The candidate will be a high potential, high impact member of the Tax team. We offer a collaborative office culture with flexibility.

Applicants can expect to make between $77,000 to $97,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.

This position is based out of Denver, CO but we do have a flexible work arrangement. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management. Currently, this position requires work at the Denver, CO headquarters and is not fully remote.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Preparation and/or review of federal, international, and state income/franchise tax returns, estimates, and extensions
  • Data collection and review for state allocation and apportionment analysis
  • Data accumulation and preparation of Canadian income tax returns, estimates and provision
  • Preparation of federal, state, and international income tax provisions
  • Analysis and reconciliation of financial statement tax accounts
  • Assist with federal and state income tax audits to support tax filing positions and minimize settlement costs
  • Research and provide tax guidance for various situations including economic incentives provided by federal, state, and local governments

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Master's of Taxation (MST) and CPA preferred
  • 5-8 years corporate tax and/or public accounting experience
  • Provision experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Products
  • Self-starter that works well in a team environment
  • Detailed oriented, well-organized, consistently meets deadlines in a fast pace dynamic work environment
