Perform basic and advanced technician functions for inpatients and outpatients of all age groups for Lakeland Regional Health System. All functions are performed under the supervision or authority of a registered pharmacist. These responsibilities include delivery of supplies, inpatient and outpatient prescription preparation, data entry, QA, CQI, DUE, floor inspections, narcotics controls and preparation of enteral feedings, to all patient age groups.• Performs monthly unit checks and floor inspections as assigned. • Prepares inpatient and outpatient prescriptions for all customers and age groups under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. • Maintains state and federal narcotic control information. • Performs third party billing, adjudication and adjustment as assigned. • Is responsible for performing data entry of inpatient and outpatient physician orders, charges, and credits. • Prepares medications to complete physician orders for inpatients and outpatients. • Participates in data compilation as assigned. • Participates in floor restocking, pharmacy restocking, and PYXIS restocking as assigned. • Performs and researches accurate medication histories and records such in Epic. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Education:Associates, High School or GED (Required)
Certifications:*Pharmacy Technician Certification - PTCB, *Pharmacy Technician License - State of Michigan

• Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice.
• Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.
