Hours:Nights Job Summary
Perform computerized tomography (CT) procedures. Assume responsibility and maintain the general care and safety of patients during CT scans.
Must be certified and registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must have advanced ARRT certification and registration in Computed Tomography at time of hire, or within a defined time period established by Lakeland if not CT certified/registered at time of hire.• Perform a wide range of CT procedures utilizing a multislice scanner. • Perform post-processing of scans per protocol. • Administer intravascular contrast media per protocol using a power injector. • Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable). • Utilize Picture Arching and Communication System (PACS). • Assist physicians in performing CT guided interventional procedures. • Perform clerical functions related to patient chart documentation. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. • Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice.
• Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.
