Coordinate and maintain new referrals, authorizations and scheduling patients to ensure continuous care and communication with physicians and department personnel.• Schedule all procedures carried out in the clinic and outside of the clinic by acting as a liaison between multiple departments within the organization to ensure timely scheduling for patients treatments and procedures. 30% • On site electronic medical record expert (super user). Initiate calls to EMR tech support, will perform the advanced reporting features and act on the results by notifying providers of unfinished or missing documentation, finding and contacting patients who have no showed or are without follow-up care, evaluating, following policy, patients for dismissal from the practice. 30% • Oversight of all referral, patient work-queues and processing release of information requests including registration of patients. Monitor completion of referral scheduling and document scanning for all new referrals. 20% • Verify insurance or medical benefits coverage and arrange prior authorizations as needed providing financial information to patients regarding payer authorization, criteria and balance of coinsurance and deductibles. 10% • Evaluate and assign appropriate ICD code(s) to outpatient services or treatments based on diagnosis, signs or symptoms assigned by the ordering physician. 10% • Maintain appropriate levels of office supplies. Prepare work orders for repairs of office machines, furniture or medical equipment, as well as maintenance requests. Monitor inventory of medical supplies in collaboration with clinical supply ordering person. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service.
