Responsible for moving patients via stretcher, bed, or wheelchair to other diagnostic departments for testing. Also responsible for moving patients upon admission from various departments, floor to floor transfers, and discharges. Will provide direct patient care for the patients while in transit to the various parts of the Hospital.• Transport patients from room to diagnostic areas and vise versa. Transport patients for discharge and admissions. • Provide movement of hospital equipment. • Work under the direction of the Resource Center Dispatchers. • Respond to pages. • Support Clinical Staff as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Maintain a clean, safe environment to minimize hazards, infection or injury. • Maintain commitment for self-growth and competency. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Education:High School / GED / Math And Reading Assessment (Required)
Certifications:BCLS Certification - AHA

• Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice.
• Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.
