Hours:Variable Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures. Assume responsibility and maintain the general care and safety of patients during diagnostic imaging procedures.• Perform a wide range of general and special diagnostic radiographic procedures in the radiology department, in surgery and the Emergency Department, and at the patient's bedside. • Operate computed radiography equipment including plate reader and remote operator panel. • Operate direct digital radiography equipment. • Operate mobile x-ray and C-arm equipment. • Utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). • Administer intravascular contrast media per protocol. • Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). • Perform clerical functions related to patient chart documentation. • Responsible for assigned night call. • Participate in the clinical training of radiologic technology students. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service.
