Job Description SummaryResponsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment as directed by the Lead Technician and Team Leader Maintenance. This position requires a basic understanding of electricity, electrical systems, electrical motor control systems, and process control instrumentation. This includes but is not limited to 480 Volt 3 Phase motor switchgear, 120 Volt control systems, PLC systems, and 4-20 ma analog instrumentation.
- Coordinate with Team Leaders and Maintenance personnel to effect repairs and maintain equipment with an emphasis on minimizing downtime.
- Install, repair, and calibrate instrumentation for process measurements such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, weight, etc.
- Install, repair, and configure process control equipment such as variable speed AC drives, analog valve positioners, PLCs and I/O modules.
- Uses a PC and required software to view PLC Ladder Logic for troubleshooting and interpreting equipment operation and control requirements and an I/O list to search for and view the control logic for any piece of equipment.
- Must have a basic understanding of PLCs, Ladder Logic, electronic principals and components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, etc.
- Must have a basic understanding in the use of VOM, AMP meters, and other test equipment.

Education and/or Experience
- Must be able to provide documented evidence of taking a high school level Algebra class and receiving a passing grade of C or better.
- Electrical License or LME Certification strongly preferred, but not required. Must be able to acquire LME certification in the future.
- Must have computer skills, Word and Excel
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
