Job Qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

· Manage Logistics planning staff to deliver key service and cost objectives and enhance operational efficiencies.

· Private rail fleet management

· Partner with Logistics Procurement and Operations Managers to develop and execute key logistics strategies.

· Partner with Customer Service and S&OP regarding service, capacity surges and cost reduction programs.

· Partner with vendor base to manage score carding to improve both service and cost objectives.

· Hire, train, develop and enhance performance of transportation planning staff.

· Leverage and enhance transportation execution system capabilities to build transportation competencies including service and cost analytics and improve efficiencies.

· Develop and implement core standard operating procedures to build repeatable processes.

Position Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in related area, logistics or supply chain preferred.

· Previous supply chain experience required

· Demonstrated influencing skills necessary to manage cross-functional and third party reporting relationships and processes.

· Rail shipment and fleet management experience

· Must be able to demonstrate analytical skills

· Proficient MS Office; with strength in Excel

· SAP systems knowledge a plus

· Knowledge of transportation modes, transportation metrics and transportation rate structures a plus

· Possess strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills

· Solid knowledge of distribution operations and overall supply chain management.

· Ability to coach, mentor and develop work of others.

· A high sense of urgency.
