Title and Summary

Director, Regional Payment Facilitators (PIFO), LAC – Business Development Overview:
As the Director for Regional Payment Facilitators (PIFO) in LAC, you will lead Mastercard's efforts to empower and scale regional enablers that serve global and domestic merchants. These facilitators play a critical role in expanding acceptance, driving innovation, and enabling interoperability across Latin America's diverse payments landscape.
You will work closely with the Vice President of APM for LAC, country managers, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that position Mastercard as the preferred partner for PIFOs. Your mission is to unlock new flows, support regulatory readiness, and deliver tailored solutions that accelerate growth for these strategic partners.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute regional strategies to support and scale PIFOs across LAC.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential PIFOs, including regulated BIN sponsors, aggregators, and fintech enablers.
• Partner with local market teams to assess merchant needs and align PIFO capabilities accordingly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with PIFOs, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Lead go-to-market initiatives that enable PIFOs to onboard merchants and expand cross-border capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services teams to deliver technical and operational support.
• Support PIFOs in navigating regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics (TPV, merchant growth, approval rates) and report progress to leadership.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records and ensure data integrity.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.

All About You:
You are a strategic, entrepreneurial leader with a deep understanding of the payment's ecosystem in Latin America. You bring a strong commercial mindset and a passion for enabling regional players to thrive. You are:
• Experienced in working with payment facilitators, acquirers, and fintechs in LAC.
• Knowledgeable about local schemes (e.g., PIX, CoDi, SINPE) and cross-border payment dynamics.
• Skilled in building partnerships and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
• A strategic thinker with strong financial and operational acumen.
• An effective communicator who can influence across technical and business audiences.
• Agile and adaptable, with a bias for execution and results.
• Fluent in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese highly desirable.
• Familiar with Mastercard's solutions and organizational structure (preferred).
