Here's where you come in:

We are currently seeking an Account Executive - Energy Services to join the team as a member of our growing Energy South division. This role can be based in any of our offices in Texas. (Dallas, Houston, Austin/San Antonio)


You're great at:

Business Development

  • Initiating and developing consultative relationships with clients.
  • Reviewing and discussing findings and reports with customers to:
    • Drive further opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain a sales plan for identifying energy retrofit project opportunities and other services.
  • Coordinating and performing duties and responsibilities such as lead generation, customer services, proposal development, customer acquisition, and coordinating the start of projects.
  • Responding to requests for proposals and requests for qualifications.
  • Managing the development of projects including developing proposals, maintaining satisfactory customer relationships, and partnering with internal resources.

Client Relations

  • Initiating and developing consultative relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Guiding clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes.
  • Utilizing McKinstry's tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies.

Other duties as assigned.


What we would like to see from you:

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of an Account Executive I.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required.
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities such as data centers required.
  • Knowledge of financial acumen required.
  • Three (3) years of experience of financial/performance contracting experience including previous leadership, sales, and marketing with an energy service or related organization, with responsibilities for identifying leads, closing sales, and providing oversight to a project implementation team required.
  • Applicable organization affiliations and or professional group associations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the enabling legislation as it pertains to contracting methods such as Performance Contracting, etc preferred.
