Description

Please review the job details below. This position provides specialist services to assigned Line(s) of Business for contractual matters relating to the formation and administration of agreements required to support the line of business pursuits and active programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, presents and executes agreement documents covering: contracts, teaming, cooperation, confidentiality, licensing, personal services consulting, and representatives (agency) for both sales and procurements

  • Provides thorough and timely review of documents drafted by other parties identifying and evaluating commercial risk to the company

  • Review and advise on contractual requirements expressed in request for proposals/quotations, prepares checklists and draft a compliance matrix and exception statements, or contracts, for incorporation into the company's proposal to a potential customer

  • Keep accurate, easily accessible and complete records of the company's contractual an business matters assigned to your scope of work activities

  • Keep documented records of commitments made and understanding between the company and its customers, subcontractors or suppliers

  • Maintain understanding of the processes used by the company to monitor its day to day affairs and follow those processes

  • Stay informed and make others aware of the Line of Business procurement activities, procedures and policies

  • Ensure that the Line of Business is cognizant of the requirement to have these agreements properly expressed and executed in a timely manner to protect the interests of the as well as the company

  • Keep immediate manager and the Line of Business apprised of business risk issues

  • Travel to support company business activities and participate in or lead agreement negotiations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, including either a technical or business management certificate from a recognized institute of technology or a university degree in the field of accounting, business, science, law or engineering

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • A proven team player

  • Ability to apply procedures and standards sensibly

  • Must be able to secure Controlled Good Program (CGP) and NATO Secret security clearances

  • Ability to prioritize activities, effectively manage stakeholders

  • Proficient in use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office

Assets:

  • Directly related commercial experience in industry or government with demonstrated progression in responsibilities

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and tools

  • Familiarity with Government standard acquisition regulations and standard terms, such as SACC, DFAR, FAR and DEFCON requirements, and export regulations

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and have excellent presentation, due diligence, negotiation and collaboration skills
