Summary # The Director of Development is a senior staff member who works closely with the President to set and monitor fundraising goals, create evaluation measurements, and ensure plans are in place to meet the Foundation#s fundraising goals. This position will manage a portfolio of donors/prospects. # Job Duties Identifies, cultivates and solicits donor prospects in support of Mercy#s annual and special fundraising campaigns. Develops and implements the Foundation#s annual giving campaign. Prepares appropriate reports to analyze proposed methods and fundraising results. Develops a Grateful Patient program which will require developing relationships with Mercy Medical Center staff. Manages a portfolio of annual and major gift donors/prospects. Recommends goals and budget for programs this position oversees. Helps strengthen the awareness of the Mercy Medical Center Foundation by volunteering, serving on committees and/or boards within the hospital and the community. Leads the process of determining the acceptance of in-kind gifts to Mercy. Serves as the liaison for the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center and the Hospice Programs. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills. Administrative skills in planning and budgeting. Understanding and appreciation for the mission of Mercy Medical Center and the Mercy Medical Center Foundation. Exceptional listening skills. Professional Experience Minimum of three years of successful fundraising experience or related experience. Education Bachelors Degree required.
