Description

New Mexico Donor Services is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator to join our team! We are looking for candidates who:

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

  1. Evaluate donation potential and screen potential donors for mitigating risk factors utilizing physical assessment and obtaining medical behavioral history
  2. Work with hospital primary care team and family care to ensure optimal and effective request for donation
  3. Allocates organs according to regulation and policy
  4. Perform surgical organ recovery, packing, and arrange transportation

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • RN from an accredited school of nursing OR a minimum of 2 years organ recovery experience from another OPO
  • CPTC certification required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
