The Athletic Trainer participates in the delivery of patient care within the guidelines and policies of Northfield Hospital + Clinics. Carries out patient care tasks as directed by providers and nurses, maintains supplies and equipment, and accurately communicates with patients and all members of the healthcare team. This position provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.# Responsibilities: Prepares exam and treatment rooms prior to patient visit. Prepares charts for appointment and reviews for pertinent information for the appointment. Rooms patient and prepares patient for exams, tests and procedures. Obtains and accurately records necessary vital signs and physical measurements. Prepares, administers and records medications per policy and established procedures. Applies splints, casts, braces.##Orders appropriate materials. Monitors providers# orders to ensure orders are completed. Completes forms as directed for labs, X-rays and other services. Communicates pertinent information to providers and healthcare team. Relays test results accurately and in accordance with established procedures. Ensures equipment and supplies are available and adequately stocked for patient care. Qualifications: Certified through the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification (or within 6 months of hire) One year of clinical practice experience preferred Electronic medical record experience preferred Schedule:# 72hrs/2wks Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday + Wednesday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm, Friday 8:00am-1:00pm No weekend requirement Why Northfield Hospital + Clinics (NH+C)?
