Provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patients. #Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment, and for coordinating team work with all members of the health care team. The Radiographer may serve patients of all ages. Responsibilities: Prepare patient for radiological procedures by accurately assessing patient#s needs and providing patient education. Ensures correct exam is performed. Operate radiology equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the examination. Assists in lab with patient lab draws and laboratory duties.
