Provides leadership and supervision for the daily operations of rehabilitation services in an outpatient clinic setting ensuring the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services consistent with the core values of the organization and in support of a positive workplace culture. Disciplines supervised may include Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy (SLP), Athletic Training (ATC), and Rehabilitation Aides. Collaborates with all members of the health care team to facilitate patient outcomes. The incumbent in this position will also provide patient care in accordance with their licensed rehabilitation discipline, providing age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.# Responsibilities: Ensures consistent delivery of quality care for patients and customers and works with the interdisciplinary team to promote best outcomes.# Serves as a resource and support person in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitative services Coordinates with the Director to ensure availability and operation of necessary equipment and supplies for delivery of care# Assists in development of department policies and instructions Promotes Rehabilitation Services programs and services on behalf of the department and Northfield Hospital through community contacts; participates in development of marketing materials Participates in development of departmental meeting agendas, presents regularly at department meetings, and facilitates small group meetings for assigned personnel. Interviews, hires, trains, coaches, manages performance, and evaluates staff Reviews productivity reports, adjusts staffing in response to meet established targets and shares productivity information with assigned personnel on a regular basis Provides feedback, coaches employees, provides regular and timely performance reviews and addresses performance issues to promote employee success, recommending dismissal of employees as necessary. Follows regulatory agency standards to promote a safe work environment for staff, identify and correct unsafe conditions in work environment Ensures customer/patient concerns are addressed in a timely manner Possesses working knowledge of regulatory standards; regularly reviews changes in documentation, coding, and billing practices to ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate reimbursement Participates in quarterly billing and documentation audits of assigned personnel, following up and providing education with any identified concerns Develops and coordinates comprehensive orientation and onboarding for new staff Coordinates provision of educational activities of the department Provides input to the annual budget and rolling forecast Manages supply costs for assigned departments Qualifications: Current Physical Therapy License with the State of Minnesota Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification (or within 6 months of hire). Five years with relevant rehabilitation therapy practice experience. Advanced degree beyond entry level degree in healthcare or healthcare management preferred. Prior leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.# Active membership in respective professional organization at state and national level preferred Schedule:# 80hrs/2wks Weekdays with start and end times varying between 7:00am and 6:00pm Will be scheduled for 1-2 weekends per year in acute care setting Will be scheduled for one holiday every other year in acute care setting Northfield Hospital # Clinics is an independent organization with over 800 employees.
