Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Observing injured, ill, or disabled patients doing tasks
  • Evaluating patients conditions and needs
  • Developing treatment plans for patients, including types of activities do and goals to accomplish
  • Demonstrating exercise that can help relieve pain for individuals with chronic conditions
  • Educating patients' families about how to accommodate and care for patients
  • Recommending special equipment and instructing patients on how to use equipment
  • Assessing and recording patients' activities and progress for patient evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other providers

Key qualifications to be considered for this role include:

  • Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Master's Program
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification required with 90 days of hire
  • Current Arkansas Occupational Therapy License
